The Edge Construction Co. was founded in 1996 with a straightforward premise: commercial carpentry deserved a higher standard. What started as a focused framing crew serving the greater Chicago market has grown into a full-service commercial carpentry contractor trusted by GCs and developers across Chicagoland.

We operate out of Bartlett, IL, and our scope spans metal stud framing, wood framing, drywall solutions, commercial millwork, and acoustic installations. Bringing those scopes under one roof means one project manager, one point of contact, and one accountability structure — no finger-pointing between subs.

Over 30 years, we've built in historic theaters, high-rise residential towers, healthcare facilities, auto dealerships, health clubs, and everything in between. The projects change. The standard doesn't.

On complex and large-scale projects, we deploy precision laser layout. We run Procore from day one so every trade has the same information at the same time. Tolerances matter — not just for our scope, but for every trade that follows us. Sloppy framing costs everyone.

Technology Driven

We were early adopters of digital layout and in-shop prefabrication. Our approach reduces field waste, compresses schedules, and delivers repeatable results at a higher quality threshold than traditional methods.

Pre-Construction Partnership

We get involved early — reviewing drawings, flagging conflicts, and building scope packages that reflect what's actually in the field. Early coordination saves time and money for everyone downstream.

Drywall Shape Prefabrication

Our Bartlett shop pre-builds drywall shapes and assemblies before they ever hit the jobsite. Less cutting in the field means faster installs and a cleaner site.

Laser Layout on Every Job

Every project is laid out with professional rotary laser equipment. No chalk lines, no guessing. Our layout is accurate, documented, and ready for the next trade to build off confidently.

Single-Point Coordination

Framing, drywall, millwork, acoustics — one project manager, one schedule, one contact. We resolve scope overlaps internally so they never become your problem on the job site.
